Must have free islamic apps for iphone/ipod

Posted in My Blog with tags , , , , , , , , , on 5 February, 2010 by Pukhtana

Must have FREE applications for those that cannot afford to buy from the app store as yet, but please try to make a monetary donantion of sadaqa jariya instead to an islamic charity, and remember when you donate Allah gives you in return 10 times the amount,  and remember in ur duas, ALL the  muminun with sincerity.

Ilm ( knowledge) is not just for the those that can afford it,  so here in the zip folder are some must have applications that you will ( or should) be using daily inshAllah.  Feel free to pass on to those that seek knowledge, without a cost.

Firstly you will need to  jail break your ipod / iphone first if it isn’t already ( learn how to do that on youtube).

Download the following zip file and unzip it:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/z0eqwnanlmm/islamic%20ipod%20iphone%20apps.rar

( if the link doesn’t work leave a comment or email me to let me know)

Once the files are unzipped double click on them one at a time and they will install on to your iphone/ipod via itunes ( which you should already have installed) and they will transfer over  when you next synchorinise!

The included Apps are :

Divine Names of Allah – helps you to memorise the beautiful names of Allah and meanings. (screenshots  of the app can be viewed here)

99 names of Allah – another app similar to Divine names but alot more simple and with a tasbeeh counter

isubha – Virtual tasbeeh to help with dhikr, customisable too. (screenshots  of the app can be viewed here)

qdua – some duas from the Quran with audio too! (screenshots  of the app can be viewed here)

Qword – approx 569 words from the Quran which make up 80% of the Quran to help you understand the Arabic words and therefore inshAllah the Quran in its original language. (screenshots  of the app can be viewed here)

iquran pro – quran with arabic text and translation as well as audio and transliteration. (screenshots  of the updated version app can be viewed here, though it is not different functionally)

Hajj  – guide to hajj (screenshots  of the app can be viewed here)

Enjoy!

Must have Islamic / Quran Sites/software

Posted in My Blog with tags , , , , , , , on 30 January, 2010 by Pukhtana

Probably the best online islamic resources i have EVER come across, don’t say there is never any means to learn, and when you do learn APPLY what you learn inshAllah, and may Allah guide us all:

Quran recitation /memorisation :

http://www.imaanstar.com/

and http://www.imaanstar.com/juz30.php download this programme ( http://www.imaanstar.com/downloads/download.php?file=juz30_v22.exe) and then the sets of surahs for the different recitors – i recommend al afasy.

This programme is SO EASY to use and looks simple and WORKS, just put the in the daily time and effort, and try to learn the translation too if you don’t understand Arabic.

Recitation / Understanding of the actual arabic text:

Please use these sites and softwares, and learn your deen and implement it in your life as much as you can inshAllah.

Take care all.

poet once said:
You are more precious than heaven and earth.
What more can I say?
You do not know your own worth.
God says, “I will buy you…your moments,
your breaths, your possessions, your lives. Spend
them on Me. Turn them over to Me, and their
price is divine freedom, grace and wisdom. This is
your worth in My eyes.” But if we keep our life
for ourself, then we lose what treasures we have
been granted.

What it means to be a Real Pashtun….. show your support!!!!

I have had enough……… i shall say it clearly………. I am firstly a muslim, and i am very proudly a PUKHTANA, a PASHTANA but i am NOT and will never call myself  a PAKISTANI or AFGHANISTANI.

I have had it with so called pakistani pukhtuns who would rather kiss the back sides of punjabiyan and declare themselves as pakistani, and want to be defined in the same category as the idiots from karachi like ALTAF Hussain and co who wouldnt even let our pukhtun MUSLIM brothers and sisters into karachi even though they themselves were bloody immigrants from dei hindu mother land india.

Secondly i hate so called  Afghani pukhtuns who wud rather kiss the backsides of the farsiwans who will tell them to their face that we hate your language pashto and then when that is not enough they will  come up with excuses to defend the farsiwans saying can u blame them for hating our language cos they are ruled by us, no dudes u are being ruled by their language, that is why u can speak farsi and they cant speak pashto cos u have to learn their language and they dont give a shit abt yours, same goes to pakistani pukhtuns that know everything about urdu and when you tell them to read or write pashto they don’t know jack!!!!

WHERE ARE THE REAL PUKHTUNS, the ones that can live amongst anyone but not loose themselves and always remain true to all pukhtuns in lar ow bar Afghanistan ( in the true sense) – Pukhtunistan???

The ones that can learn any language but not side with a farsiwan or punjabi over a puktun??!!! WHY are there so few of US????????

If you are a real pukhtun, someone like me who has had to ditch both the afghan and pakistan label cos it is not representative of real pukhtuns anymore please leave a comment so i know i am not the only one that is getting annoyed with this!!!!

600 Pakistani families migrate to Khost: Afghan govt
Updated at
Monday, August 03, 2009

By our correspondent

PESHAWAR: The Afghan government on Sunday claimed that some 600 Pakistani families belonging to North Waziristan had migrated to Khost province to escape fighting in their area.

Wali Rehman Syedzai, chief of Refugee Affairs in Khost in southern Afghanistan, told the Afghan Islamic Press that the government of Afghanistan would spare no effort in providing assistance to the Pakistani refugees. He said the Pakistanis had come from the Dattakhel area in North Waziristan.

Terming the security situation as the main obstacle in providing relief goods to the affected people, Syedzai said: “We wanted to help them as soon as possible. But the security situation is not satisfactory in Khost province. Attacks are being frequently conducted on Khost City. Spera is a far-flung district in the province and the worsening security situation is also hindering efforts to assist the refugees.”

Syedzai expressed the hope that the World Food Programme (WFP) would also extend help to the refugees, adding that soldiers of the Afghan National Army had distributed food items among the Pakistani refugees. He alleged that Pakistani border forces were not allowing the people to migrate to Afghanistan but some still managed to cross the border.

It may be added that earlier a large number of Pakistani tribal people crossed over to Afghanistan from the tribal areas of Bajaur, Kurram and South Waziristan to escape the fighting. Some of the displaced Pakistanis are still living in Kunar, Nuristan, Paktika and Khost provinces in Afghanistan. Pakistani authorities had denied reports that Pakistanis from Kurram Agency had taken refuge in Afghanistan but no denial was issued regarding the displaced Pakistani tribesmen from South Waziristan and Bajaur.
