“I am originaly from bombay , india. I used to sing in various bollywood music groups like johnny lever music group and with falguni pathak.
I have shifted to sweden and have been performing at various indian and pakistani shows in sweden, denmark, norway and london. I was approached by Homayun Sahebzai if I can sing a few hindi songs for his first c- album. I agreed and then when we started rehearsing, he asked me to sing a few pashto lines from a song. Thats how I started singing inpashto. It took a lot of practice and hard work till we got together our cd called KRESHMA.
Here is the link for KRESHMA - http://www.afghanhits.com/new/song_page2.php?show_songs=HOM01&mohim=Download%0A
The music is composed by the famouse Jawid Sharif. This is my first pashto recording. After some of the songs were shown on Ariana Tv, I received another offer to record a remix album in pashto.
My solo album - STA DE MEHFIL , recorded in the U.K. will be released later this year. Some of the songs are at my youtube account - http://www.youtube.com/user/shirinjaan
I like the songs by Gulnar Begum, Aqal meena, Shakeela Naz, Hangama,Naghma, Ustad Mahwash. There are so many singers so please excuse me if I forgot to name any. I love the voice of Heydaytullah. He sounds so much like Mohammad Rafi. Khyal Mohammad, Farhad Darya and Ahmad Zahirs songs are very impressive. I am trying to get my pashto pronounciation as correct as possible. Hope the pashto speaking audience appreciates my singing.
Thanking you
sharon”
